On this 70th anniversary of D-Day, let us raise our glasses to those brave men and women during that desperate time, but especially to 89 year old Bernard Jordan, who not only fought in and survived WWII, but escaped his nursing home to attend today's celebrations in France.

My grandfather, who was in the 8th Infantry Division, sadly passed away this January.
